It’s Just You & Me, Kid is a raw and deeply personal memoir about poverty, addiction, mental health struggles, abandonment, survival, and the complicated love between a mother and son trying to make it through circumstances no child should have to navigate.

It’s also the story of what happened next.

From a seventh-grade dropout and homeless teenager to earning a master’s degree, becoming a husband and father, and building a life once unimaginable to that thirteen-year-old boy, Christopher’s journey challenges one of the most dangerous beliefs we carry:
